Director's Board Clapboard Christmas Ornament | Old World Christmas Film Lover Gift

Director's Board Ornament — Old World Christmas Film Lover & Movie Enthusiast Holiday Gift

And... action! The Director’s Board Ornament by Old World Christmas is the perfect holiday gift for filmmakers, movie lovers, actors, and anyone who is passionate about the magic of cinema.

Lights, Camera, Christmas!

The Director’s Board — also known as a clapboard or slate — is one of the most iconic tools in filmmaking. Used to help align sound with picture during post-production, the clapboard is filmed briefly at the start of each take, its distinctive diagonally striped lines providing a clear visual marker for the clap that syncs audio and video perfectly. Combined with a chalkboard for noting the details of the next take — scene number, take number, director, and camera — the clapboard is as functional as it is iconic, a symbol of the collaborative art of storytelling through film.
